Abstract

This paper proposed a novel fuzzy logic based synchronous reference frame control algorithm for DSTATCOM to improve power quality in distribution network. The proposed algorithm found to be maintains constant DC-link voltage and extracts fundamental components of load currents to estimate reference signals. These reference currents in turn are utilized by DSTATCOM to mitigate the power quality in distribution network. Proposed control algorithm has been tested successfully in regulating the voltage, maintain unity power factor, harmonics minimization, and load balancing for multifarious loads at the point of common coupling of distribution network.
