CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF USABILITY PEDAGOGICAL FACTORS IN E-LEARNING SYSTEM
Abstract
Usability has been a important area for many years, adding a more interest when the ICT and internet was introduced and adopted. Many studies have been made on usability evaluation methods in many specific areas, however not so much in E-Learning systems. This study is a report of a review of several usability evaluation methods for E-learning systems. This paper tries to summarize and compare all of these studies to see how the usability of e-learning has been treated. At last, this paper tries to explain how the current situation happens. The main purpose of the review is to draw a picture for further researcher who is going to look into the field of usability evaluation for E-Learning systems.This review paper describing each usability and pedagogical factors identified from the different papers studied. The factors’ names may differ from paper to paper, however the meaning is the same which are presented. Finally the article contains a number of factors with example from different papers.Published
