SOFTWARE COST ESTIMATION - A CASE STUDY
Abstract
“Software cost estimation†the word looks very simple but in contrast its very complicated in terms of the clients and estimators. Software cost estimation has been an important but difficult task since the beginning of the computer era in the 1940s. As software applications have grown in size and importance, the need for accuracy in software cost estimating has grown, too. Software cost estimation is the process of predicting the effort required to develop a software system. Many estimation models have been proposed over the last 30 years. This paper focuses on the case study carried out in a software firm in mysore which follows manual software cost estimation methods over many years since the company got established.Downloads
