SWAHILI TEXT AND SPEECH CORPUS: A REVIEW
Abstract
This paper explores the review of Swahili text and speech databases/corpus in different dimensions i.e. word, sentence and phrases selections with their phonetics and selection of speakers. It also reviles the availability of the corpus. Text and Speech database is needed for various purposes like speech synthesis, speech recognition, speech detection; corpus based text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis and machine translation. This work is done for the purpose of developing a speech corpus in Swahili language.Downloads
